About Our Guest
Al Crisafulli is
the owner of the Sugarblast
Music Company (@sugarblastmusic,
Sugarblast on facebook)
a micro-indie record label that releases loud rock and roll with absolutely
zero consideration to what people might actually be interested in buying. For
20+ years prior, he was the owner of Dromedary
Records, also a micro-indie label, also not very good at releasing things
people want to buy. In 2013, Crisafulli launched Signal To Noise, an
internet radio broadcast featured on Blowupradio.com
every Sunday night at 10 PM EST and repeating Mondays
at noon, devoted to music from loud, unknown indie bands from New
Jersey. If Crisafulli fell in the forest, nobody would hear it. He
likes loud rock and roll with a punk ethos, played on vinyl records or in tiny
clubs. He likes vintage baseball and craft beer. He likes kids. Basically,
if it’s small and makes a lot of noise, Crisafulli likes it.
